I have to wonder about a large slice of the “horror” reading public of today.
I’m speaking of the “vampire” genre of today and to the unbelievable depths of depravity it has been mired in since the slathering appearance of insanity like Twilight.
Angst ridden vampires, for God’s sake?! Wringing their hands over the “monsters” they are, feeling revulsion for lusting after hot red blood? Give me a break!
All the pundits agree that at the very top of the global power pyramid, the individuals up there all worship Lucifer. Or Satan. Which is the same thing according to the Christians in the pack that dominate the debates on this. I scratch my head over this “fact” due to what I know of old Lucifer. If these supposed Lex Luthor level super-criminals actually do believe in Lucifer then they must really be as Robert Anton Wilson characterized them.
Lovecraft rightly deserves to be known as a great American writer of pulp horror. His creations have had effects on succeeding generations that, in many cases, probably would have horrified the introverted Rhode Island author. However, I am compelled to propose that Lovecraft should be considered a bona fide medium as well, on footing at least as impressive as the Sleeping Prophet, Edgar Cayce.
